DRAG EVERY ONE OF THEM

Five Rooflines.
Lights Off, Lights On.

Every pair below is the same house from the same spot — one frame with the system off, one with it running. Drag across each image to switch it on. Two of them have a third scene, so you can see what a color night looks like on the same roof.

Look at the daylight frame as hard as you look at the night one. If you can find the channel, so can your neighbors.

Two Floors, One Continuous Line

The same home in daylight with the lighting switched off and no visible fixtures The same home after dark with the permanent roofline lighting switched on Lights Off Lights On ← Drag to turn the lights on →

Warm white most of the year. Red and green when December comes around. Same channel, same fixture, no ladder either time.

Stone, Timber And Deep Shadow

Heavy materials swallow light. The run traces every eave and the amber picks the stonework out instead of flattening it.

A Roofline With Three Different Heights

The same home in daylight with the lighting switched off and no visible fixtures The same home after dark with the permanent roofline lighting switched on Lights Off Lights On ← Drag to turn the lights on →

Every gable and step is followed exactly. Drag it dark and you cannot tell there is anything up there.

Single Level, Long Front Elevation

The same home in daylight with the lighting switched off and no visible fixtures The same home after dark with the permanent roofline lighting switched on Lights Off Lights On ← Drag to turn the lights on →

Low and wide is the hardest shape to light without it reading like a runway. The answer is the eave line, not the ground.

Modern Flat Fascia, Three-Car Frontage

The same home in daylight with the lighting switched off and no visible fixtures The same home after dark with the permanent roofline lighting switched on Lights Off Lights On ← Drag to turn the lights on →

A flat fascia gives the cleanest possible line. Cool blue here because the owner wanted it — the same run does warm white on a schedule.
